Fermionics offers HgCdTe photodetectors operating at room temperature. These are photovoltaic detectors sensitive to the 1-2.6µm wavelength region. The short wavelength infrared (SWIR) detection is achieved by controlling the composition of the HgCdTe semiconductor compound. The high quality and quantum efficiency diode is suited for low or high frequency applications.
